Better late to the party than never. How did I miss this band? It's a great blend of The Cure during their 'a forest' period and alternative rock. The first track Grandview plunges you into an ocean of psychodelic guitars and rythmic drums and like a siren lures you into the depths. A very accomplished album and although I wouldn't categorize it as Gothic it captures the early spirit of that dusty genre better than most contemporary bands nowadays. stargazing robot

When Andrew Clinco (aka Deb Demure) was sitting in his Los Angeles bedroom, listening to the Cocteau Twins and mastering his first album, going back and forth inside the soundbooth bathroom conversion, he didn't expect the response he would receive in return. This Glasgow band is less straightforward or formulaic than many others currently treading the '80s post-punk path. These songs are winged. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 22, 2017
Across their second full-length, the London post-punks offer up thrumming motoriks, industrial tones, and sullen sing-a-longs in abundance. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 17, 2024

Underpass has created something superbly distinct while paying homage to 80s New Wave-Goth. The Cure's influence on "Red Reflection" is unmistakable, listen to those guitar progressions and underlying synth. Songs "Another World" and "Whitest Light " would fit in easily in any of the Cure's 80s Canon, particularly 17 Seconds, Faith, or Pornography. This album is the mutt's nuts for fans of this genre.
